THE PROJECT
Hakkebakkeskogen (In the Forest of Hucky Bucky) is a stop motion feature film made by Qvisten animation and based on the childrens book and theater play by Torbjørn Egner. For this movie I worked as the production designer. On this project compared to other features where I worked as the production designer I have done a lot of the character and set design myself. I designed 20 out of 24 characters and 8 out of 14 sets in the production. For the remaining 6 sets I planned the layout of the sets in 3d, sketched the props and found references before I briefed the designers to do the final concept paint. After the preproductionI had the responsibility following the building of the sets and characters working close with the different departmens making sure that the art direction was followed and technical needs taken care of. I also designed the logo, made the movie posters (like the one above) and some of the mattepaints/backdrops for the movie.
